I am a freelance journalist and editor from Calgary. I write essays and deeply reported features on a variety of topics, but I’m most drawn to stories that have a strong personal or emotional dimension that provides depth and context to broader issues. I studied philosophy and English at the University of Calgary and journalism at Mount Royal University. My first book, Back from the Deep, is about the world of underwater search and recovery and was published in 2024 by Steerforth Press.
